Case Study: Tructyre
Tructyre Commercial Fleet Maintenance had a website built in 2004. It just wasn't working.
Tructyre's business is keeping commercial vehicle tyres safe, legal and cost effective - mostly via tyre service and maintenance contracts. They also provide a breakdown service using a fleet of 50 specially equipped vehicles.
The old website did not feature at all on Google!
The original website looked quite presentable. It was designed as a 'Flash' site and had colourful moving elements. The trouble was that the web server statistics showed that hardly anyone was finding the site. Even searching by the company name did not yield a Google page one result - things needed changing.

An examination of the existing website showed that much more content was required and that the most cost effective way forward would be to design a new website. This is not always the case, many existing websites are ideal for SEO development. But in this instance it was decided to build a new site and to carry out a full SEO programme during the rebuild. SiteWeave staff visited the firm at their Winchester headquarters on two occasions prior to the commencement of work to gather information about the business and to agree the basic outline and design of the website.
Today, the company achieves many Google page one positions for its key search terms and has seen a huge increase in website traffic.
The site took two months to build, including the search engine optimisation programme. The new website design was a complete departure from the original site and was partly based on printed brochure designs.
Within three months, the most important term - 'fleet tyre management' - listed Tructyre as the first non paid link on page one of Google. This was quickly followed by other important search phrases and today, the firm has an impressive web profile and can be found on the first page of a number of search engines.
Within three months of the web site re-build by SiteWeave, Tructyre had received more visitors than it had achieved in the previous four years!
